hi, friends! j and i got back from the honeymoon last week and i'm finally coming down off of cloud nine and doing things like grocery shopping and going to work again. ha! a HUGE thank you to my amazing guest bloggers who covered for me for the past two weeks!
the wedding was absolutely perfect. i don't mean that everything was literally perfect, i mean we were so happy and feeling so blessed to have our family and friends together that it felt perfect. honestly, it was the best day of my life.
funny enough, our wedding fell on the weekend of the NATO summit in chicago, which caused a bit of stress as we tried to work around a lack of hotel rooms and protests routes, but thankfully, there wasn't much of a distraction. the groom and groomsmen were stuck on the bus for 10 minutes on the way to the church as protesters walked in the street, which j got video of, but that was about it. the associated press reached out to me the week of the wedding and interviewed us about how we were dealing with wedding planning around NATO. the story was picked up by the washington post, abc news, and a few other news sources. how cool is that??
our amazing photographer, lorenzo de gregorio, got preview photos up lightning fast and i love them! he was fantastic to work with and i would highly recommend to anyone. for more pics, visit the ANC facebook page and click on lorenzo's link.
i'll definitely be posting more pictures and details about the wedding in the weeks to come, so stay tuned!
and thank you for all the sweet comments by e-mail, on facebook, twitter, instagram, and the blog! it means so much to me and puts a huge smile on my face.
